Default Scrappy Baby Quilt

I made this 36" x 54" quilt for my BFF's son who is expecting a baby in March. It is made up of scrap 2.5" squares. I thought it would be quick, but sewing together 486 squares takes a while.

I machine sewed the binding for the first time to save time. I need more practice. Do you have a favorite YouTube video for machine binding?

I love this quilt! As for binding, I recommend Harriet and Carrie Hargrave's suggestions in "Quilter's Academy, Freshman Year." Unfortunately I am currently vacationing 200 miles from my copy, but their proposed binding has worked well for me every time.

The technique from the squares to the quilting is amazing!
