I thought, immediately, wow, that sure looks complicated. But, I looked and looked and can see how easy it will be to make. It really is an impressive pattern, 'specially if you like making HST's.

Yooper, it is really easier than that! No HST! The instructions have you sew a 2 1/2" whtie square to the ends of a 2 1/2" rectangle with a diagonal seam, then cut off the outside corners and press it open--gives you the look of HST without making HST! An ingenious method, new to me, but really easy.

I have that book and love it! I have done 3 quilts out of it so far. I love your quilt. I love how batiks play so well together.
