Things I learned about.... this quilt...
I learned how to make my own really firm pressing board.
I tried Best Press for the first time.
I learned to use a Handi Gadget ruler with the Tiara.
I learned it is better to take a break just after the 1st mistake, not the 2nd or 3rd.
... and I think the further I am from finishing it, time-wise, the more I like the quilt. 😀

Your quilt is beautiful. I did this pattern a couple of years ago as a gift to my husband's cousin, who always hosts family gatherings at their home. I really enjoyed this version of Hunter's square, and actually liked all the HST's and working with biased edges. I thought having the ability to stretch the bias a little was really helpful in getting the seams to match. Your color choices are fabulous. Mine was in earth tones and jewel tones, to coordinate with the recipients' home, but your color choices are more my taste.
