This year I participated in a swap of string blocks. I decided they would make a good Christmas present for my oldest granddaughter. I used purple for the sashing because that's her favorite color and there wasn't a lot of purple in the blocks.

I like that. I've been working on my own from scraps for a while now. I was undecided on how to put them together but I do like it with sashing.
