Scrappy rail fence

Scrappy is my middle name, make do and use it up. This is one I will make, thank you so much for posting. Did you paper piece or put some backing on it. Also did you have any problem rotating the opposing blocks? The reason I asked is our Home ec club made a split rail quilt and when the lady putting it together rotated the opposing block it changed the way the grain ran and she had to really work to get them to fit.

There is just something so welcoming about a scrappy quilt - reminds me of yesteryear and the quilts women made from whatever they had. I think those are some of the most beautiful and interesting quilts and I am always drawn to them. I can well understand why your DH was taken with it. What a nice surprise for him to find it on his bed.
