Default Scrappy star

My parents received a quilt for a wedding gift that as kids we were only allowed to use when we were ill. Hence the name ‘The Sick Quilt’. It was a LeMoyne Star quilt with 50s nautical prints alternating with solid pink blocks. It is pretty much shredded but all three of us kids want it when the time comes! To be fair this quilt looks nothing like the original but I am gifting it to my brother in the hopes he might like it and forget about the old one! The backing is a clearance cat print....both my brother and SIL volunteer at a cat rescue and have adopted a cat with feline leukemia. b11db046-87b0-4239-87a6-3d2165bfb2a3.jpeg2bebbf0d-8e54-402e-a6d3-91679bfe56e4.jpeg

That's such a pretty quilt and I love the back too. Now all you have to do is make two more for your other siblings and hopefully "The Sick Quilt" will be yours!

I love stars. Where might I find the pattern for this one? This is a new-to-me star. Love this quilt. Wouldn't this make a wonderful scrappy swap?? (Hint, hint to some kind hostess.)

I love it! Now your brother can make new "quilt memories" with his family. But I doubt he will forget The comfort quilt you shared as children.
