Default Scrappy Stars in Red/White/Blue

I cut lots of scrappy rectangles with my Accuquilt die cutter. I have made several projects, so far. I made a multicolored queen sized scrappy with a black/white border. I kept and love it. It makes my guest room so warm looking.
I also made a king sized quilt of scrappy stars in purple that I paired with grey fabric, it began its new life as a wedding quilt. I made matching pillows with stars on them. The couple loved it.
That brings me to the last of the cut up rectangles. When I did the cutting, I separated the red/white/blue scraps. I really like this classic scrappy star pattern. The center scrappy square measures 11 1/2 inches, when the outer border is added,to make it a star, the block comes out at 22 1/2 inches. I am going to make 12 stars, so it will be a good size, after borders are added. I am going to look at Pinterest for ideas for borders and backing. My plan is to have it finished by 4th of July, I just won't say in what year!

This is going to be a big quilt! Great ways to use some of those scraps we all save. I look forward to seeing your progress and finished quilt.

I really, really like this! May I ask what size you cut your rectangles?
