Love your quilt. I am just finishing one like yours that is done in all brown scraps. A great way to slash the scrap pile.

I use cotton batting and backing, spray baste and pin, then I sew an "x" in the middle of the squares. I made 1 earlier this year and will post a pic for you to see the finished one.

Love your quilt. Think I will make a red, white, blue for the veterans organization I help. I will use dryer sheets as the base, no removal required, you can even sew two together if you want larger blocks. Just buy the same brand so they will be the same size. Right now I am finishing this year's quilts for the vets, 13 for them and 7 for the staff. They have 6 houses and 110 beds. My quilt guild does lots of things for them. It is called Alpha Omega Veteran Services and is located in Memphis TN. This year they will all get knitted hats, socks, ditty bag, and lots of other stuff from the guild. We buy for them instead of exchanging $5 gifts.

Looks lively. I do this in many charity quilts with a small print of children's theme fabric for the backing. Imagine children can have fun on both sides. Thanks for posting.

I'm a packrat and hate to part with scraps, so I have a huge tub. Maybe I'll soon get started on one like this. Thanks for sharing.
