If you don't fix it, at least use the same stuffing in something new so it smells the same. I have done this and just sewed a body back together and put stuffing in it. It looked funky but Buddy didn't care :)

I would suggest taking parts of poor deceased duck and combining them with new parts so you have 2 or 3 - it looks like you might need a spare again in the future. My son has 2 identical blankies... "blue" and "other blue" he's rough on stuff (3 yrs) and I just knew he'd need a spare!

    lord love a duck...
    What DOES that mean?

Where did you get a multi-colored poodle and what are the other dogs?
Sorry, my kids want a dog badly and we are considering all kinds of things, preferably a mutt.

Do you have any idea what the name brand was? Did it have a squeaker or make a duck sound? I have some leads on one- but need more info.

Sorry don't know the brand name but, orginally the duck had a small box inside that would activate when the duck was touched...it played "ole McDonald had a farm _ducks" you know the song. After that worn out I removed the box from the inside of the duck. The new one doesn't need music by a singing duck, but it was cute at the time.

We got him from a breeder. His grand parents are show dogs and are grand champions. We are not going to show him....very expensive hobby. The two younger ones are brothers to Pepper( same parents) just two ½ yrs. difference in age. The tails were not cropped by request. The breeders also like the natural tail. They are becoming accepted with AKC also.

Be prepared that if you do get a poodle...they have to be groomed at least every 6 weeks. They are a high up keep type dog but very loving and very smart.
Good luck on your hunt for a new family member.
