I like the first one better. I would put a blue border in between the border strips, too, too keep your posies from blending in.

I think the second option "anchors" the quilt better.

I like the first option better. There is something about the green against the blue border in the second one that I find displeasing. The first one looks elegant.

May I suggest an option 3? The floral border against the blue, followed by a piano key border of all the fabrics, then bind in either green or blue.

A small blue border between your pieced blocks and lg scale outer border would set it off beautifully, I think
