I'm entering the fair again this year!
There is a tiny town just on the border of Quebec and somewhere in the US (NY, I think) called Havelock. This town/village is about 3 feet by 3 feet, haha, but each year they have a huuuuuuuuge local fair. This village is about 2 hours away from me, but nothing in the rules says I have to live within so many km of this place to enter, so... yea.
Anyway, last year, I entered 6 pieces, 5 out of 6 won ribbons. two first place, one second, and two third place ribbons :)
The money isn't much, but it's a good feeling! Anyway, part of my winnings from last year were automatically put to my fee for this year, so I am entering again :)

Here are the items I am intering and the categories (the painting is not quite finished, I'm still working on it, but it WILL be finished by Saturday)

Quilt, any size

Wall Hanging

Group Quilt (this one is finished and quilted, but I don't have a pic)

Large painting (11x14) -I'm still working on the little details of this one, but you get the idea. It's a watercolour, and the green tape around the image is just holding my paper to the board.

Melanie, all your work is exquisite and sure to get you that good feeling again (destined to win!).

It is so funny that I was just thinking about you recently and the ship wall hanging you made for your inlaws this past Christmas. Low and behold there it is getting ready to enter in the fair! I was wondering how your in-laws liked that gift?

Really, really lovely. I made the gecko as a wall hanging and used buttons for "toes". Love it as a quilt, too. Good luck with your entries. All look like winners to me.
