Default Serenity an Asian panel quilt in progress

Hoo boy, this quilt is taking forever but I am quilting it to death. Here is a little sneak peek. This little sashing strip takes 20 minutes to quilt out. It is only 2.5" x 12".

Each block takes 45 minutes. I have a mix of raw edge applique and sashiko blocks surrounding the panel. This is one of the applique. You can see a little bit of one of the sashiko blocks too. The applique all have pebbling in the background and the sashiko have mctavishing in the background. I spritzed the crayola washable marker to see if that would remove enough to see the quilting the blue will wash out when I finally finish and wash the quilt.

I already ditched the whole quilt and did all my quilting with invisifil (the panel, which you can't see and all the applique blocks). Now I am on to the glide thread which is all the sashiko blocks sashing and border. I already have 37 1/2 hours into this quilt and suspect I will easily have another 30 hours of quilting before it is done.
