We all need the sense of accomplishment that comes with 'finished'. Your quilt is very pretty and will be cherished by someone and you get to enjoy being 'finished'. Great job. It is so important to be a part of doing for others, hence, our participation in doing charity works.

The second photo shows the colors well. You were very creative with your backing. Congrats on your finished project. The binding color compliments the blocks well.
I went to a rug outlet to choose a Dining room rug. The salesperson told me the rug I liked had quiet colors, which were soft colors with the same value and therefore not a stark contrast. I see the same in your lovely quilt...soft and quiet colors...not screaming for your attention.(if that makes sense?)

it's very pretty and the calico prints give it that soft and cozy look. Great finish.

The colors might not have a lot of contrast but to me they are soothing and relaxing. I just want to cuddle up with this quilt and sigh...the world is a good place.

Nothing about this quilt looks "left over." I think the best one-word description is this: charming!
