Here are some pictures of my mother-in-law's old treadle sewing machine! My sister-in-law gave it to me today and I'm so excited! It has all the attachments and looks like it's in excellent condition.

Lovely machine. And have you noticed how many of the older machines still have all the attachments that came with them when first bought? I think that it was because of scarce money, folks were taught to be frugal at that time in history, so they took exquisite care of what they had.

She looks in great condition! The old treadles don't have much that can go wrong with them. I am sure you'll have her up and running in no time. I use mine when I have to sew through heavy fabrics (over denim seams, canvas, upholstery fabric etc.)

Thanks, everyone. It's so nice to keep treasures such as these in the family. I have my mom's handcrank Singer and hubby made a special shelf in my sewing room for it to be on display.
