I love that it actually looks and gives the feel of a real garden. the sky above and the picket fence to surround the flowers :lol:

I bet your friend just went ga-ga, over it, finished! The design is spectacular, the colors are just right, the clouds and sun, and the quilting...its just gorgeous :D

The pattern is called "Tulip Hill" designed by Dana Jones. The pattern was free online, although we made a few changes to it by adding a sun rather than the original 3 stars accros the top, adding points to the picket fence and changing the shape the sky a bit. No really major changes. Unfortunately I can't find the link to the pattern. Perhaps it is no longer available.

I used a combination of machine and hand quilting as described in my original post.
