Just hang a sign on the doorknob...saying "GO AWAY!"

I should worry... I live so far out in the sticks that nobody comes here except the census takers..

We have a relative in another state who will call... when he's about 15 minutes from our house! He gives us that much notice that he's coming, or just shows up. Last time he stayed a week! Acted like we had nothing better to do than entertain him... We love him but what a pest.

Go ahead and copy away my friends! I just have random people showing up at my house with no notice anymore that I'm about to commit a felony just to get rid of them. So up goes the sign!

I finally but restrictions on: They're welcome to visit for half a day. After that I get on with my life.

I have a sign that sais "please ring doorbell my dog needs the excersize. That has not worked yet. Maybe if I copy yours and put it with it it would work. Oh you know how people are they just read stuff like that and ask you to make them one.
Ha. And its usually them the sign was ment for.

I don't care about drop in family/friends...love it. I do take issue with sales people ringing doorbell. I printed out a little card and hung by the bell that says something about "When you entered the subdivision you saw a no solicitor sign. Please respect that and do not disturb us."
