Thanks for your kind words. I definitely need to follow a pattern, so for this sweater I found a free one at the Lion Brand site. The pattern is entitled "Child's Easy Hooded Pullover" (pattern #10517). There is another one, similar in style, entitled "Hooded Sweater", pattern #70216A. The sweater I made is a size 2 years. Both sweaters have a number of sizes you can make.

Good luck ... it is not a bad patern, but I found you have to go through and mark your size before beginning!

I love the pattern you used! Beautiful knitted sweater w/hood. Thanks for the pattern. I just printed it out for a future project for my GD's.

my mother was a great knitter and knitted for me almost until she died. we all still have her good sweaters and lap robes.

that's a very attractive little sweater. i especially like the hood.
