Is it a pattern or a kit. I love it!

I think flying geese would add to it and help "frame" the embroidery more.

I like it the way it is. I agree with you the geese would distract from the embroidery.

Haven't read all the replies but a few flying geese on top lefthand corner and bottom right hand corner... about 8 each side of those corners... hope you know what I mean. Doesn't look overcrowded that way.

I have a pattern, but I am sure a few shops would have it kitted up already...check online.
thanks everyone for your opinion, I have made my decision to go with a boarder and cornerstone blocks. I am not afraid of doing the work, I have always found flying geese to be very distracting so I went with my first instinct. Will post pictures very soon as I am currently quilting it so I will wait until its done.

I love flying geese in anything, but it is your quilt. If you don't like the look, don't do it. But you could make a few and place them around the edge of the quilt and try to visualize what a full border would look like. I love what you have done. That is a fantastic pattern that I also have, but haven't started yet.

If the flying geese are dark enough I think they would be great but I agree if they have any of the light value from the pieced stars that they would pull my eye away from the embroidery.
