Oh, just love it. I to love Asian fabrics, have a large selection. I've made one quilt (I'll share a picture when I get the curtians done that go with it). Then I'd like to do one like yours if you don't mind my copying. I also used circles in mine. I had a pattern "Maru Bed quilt from Kona Bay & Asian fabric magazine. The pattern had you sew a backing on the circle and turn it inside out. The circles came out perfect. Than I appliqued the circles by machine.

Feline fanatic, This is beyond awesome. I love how you featured each print & how the applique tied it all together withe the quilting to enhance it all. I agree with the others in what a beautiful & artistic endeavor this is.

I hand appliqued them using silk thread so the stitches were invisible. When I quilted it I SID around the applique but a couple of the circles seemed a bit compromised to me, in that they were coming loose so in some places I reinforced the applique by catching the edge when quilting it.
Thank you everyone for all your kind comments. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over I can't wait to hear what my mom thinks when she sees it.
