My craft group does both. Things got a little behind while I was taking care of Mom but I'm trying to get us back on track. These blankets are really appreciated and let folks know you care.

Thanks for sharing a neat idea.

Our church does the same thing with fleece. Recently a 6 year old cancer patient said her mother the "Jesus" blanket cured her and she was going to keep it forever. We were all tearing up when we heard the story. BTW, each tied piece of fringe represents a prayer said for the recipient.
