Default Simple QAYG Braid Table Runner

This is the Braid Runner Pattern by G.E. Designs. I'd had this pattern forever and when the local Viking dealer offered a free class to make it, I figured that was incentive enough for me!

These are not colors I would usually choose but I liked the fabric design so decided to just do something for fun and not worry about how it turned out. I decided to do the back in a batik Christmas print, so if it was awful looking on the front, I'd just turn it over.

I got 2/3 of the way through the runner when I realized I had not changed my bobbin thread to red and I had done all the back stitching in white. So.....took all my stitching out and started all over again. I got the center and the first 2 rectangles pinned......and the class was over.

I sew with a group of ladies once a month so I took it to our sew in yesterday and started working on it again, and finished today. Another UFO bites the dust!

Yes, it was pretty easy. A little tricky figuring out how to place the rectangles but the directions were pretty clear and you could lay them out before you sewed them to be sure you were going in the right direction.
