I love how this is such a personal reflection of the owner. And as a Canadian, I'm very happy to see the flags in pride of place in the middle. :-)

Great quilt!!! Congratulations to your son for braving it by including the Canadian block ... without any direct American patriotic fabric inclusions.

For those that are wondering ... here's a link that I suspect is the background for Tashana's son's reasons ... watch thru to the end for the full explanation.

We are Canadians living in the USA, BUT we were all born in a different country. My husband was born in Canada, I was born in Bosnia, our son was born in Italy and our daughter was born in the USA. We are a multinational family and very proud Canadians. My daughter is the only one with dual citizenship, and she is a true little New Yorker.

The quote "I am, you know I am, I am Canadian" is from a Molson Canadian song (Proud to be Canadian) that became an unofficial Canadian anthem. If you are a Canadian, you know what I am talking about. If you are not, here is a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWDXE9Pbjic

I love it when they know what they want and help to achieve it.

Actually it's PERFECT For a guy. We also have that same pizza fabric and a square of it goes into my kids' memory quilts that I make them when they leave home.

Tashana ... Thanks!!! Looks like I was on the right wavelength, and just didn't find the right link! Both links were part of the same ad campaign ... gotta love both of those ... Molson's did a great job!
