    Simple spring charity quilt

I just finished this simple quilt for charity. The picture makes the focus fabric sort of fade, but it actually is as "bright" as the other blocks. I now have 5 quilts for youth to turn in to our guild's charity committee.

In fact, it feels funny turning that many in, but I just have been on a "let's make some quilts for young people" binge. Most folks just turn in tops so that other guild members, who have long arms, can finish them. I just don't feel right unless I turn in a completed quilt, even though I just SID. I don't know what I am worrying about....the quilts will be appreciated, and I have never done what others did anyway... (I do know what I am worried about....that folks may think I want excessive thanks... I don't.)

Hi Dina, Your cat loves it so it passes with flying colors. Funny how our pets love to sit or lay on quilts, fabric or clothes!!

I agree with nanacc! It is a beautiful quilt and I would think a finished quilt would be very much appreciated. Thanks for all you do!

That's a fun, happy quilt, Dina. Some kid is going to be very thrilled to receive it. I don't think turning in a completed quilt makes people think you want extra praise. I should think they would be happy that they can use that time to finish other quilt tops that come in. I like the idea of finishing what I start.

Very nice and colorful! I quilt primarily for charity and usually do SITD as well. I am beginning to do add'l straight line quilting as well (especially since I just can't get the hang of FMQ right now). Be proud of what you've accomplished and don't worry about what others may (or may not) say. Your heart is in the right place.
