Given to me on a recent trip to Florida, by my sister-in-law. I've always wanted one and it is in working order. As you can see it is complete, with case, and original attachments.

Very cool!!! I learned to sew on one of these. My mom bought one at an estate sale in about 1941. (She and my dad were still using wooden orange crates to sit on, but she figured a sewing machine was more important than furniture!!!) She clothed herself and four children with it before finally buying a new Elna in 1964. My sister took over the old Singer...and as far as I know, still uses it. Great old work horses!!!

Lucky Girl! These Featherweights are terrific little workhorses. I just love mine....as far as names, I think an old fashioned name works best, or maybe a grandma's name. I call mine Tessie, after my Nana.

I have my dear MIL's featherweight. It is the best and so is she! I don't even want to quilt on anything else! You will see.
