The pattern came from the Spring 2006 Quiltmaker Magazine, I am trying to guess her age at that time but I am not sure, around 9 or 10, she is now 15. I will post picks of her other quilts I have made for her. She cherishes everything I make for her.

I think your daughter loves her "snake" quilt...very nice! My youngest son had snakes as pets...I wasn't fond of them, but permitted him to have them...he took very good care of them, also.

I'd love to find this pattern! You did a great job with the colors, borders, everything.

Clever idea! I kind of had the same situation with my oldest daughter. She wanted an iguana. I told her "You know how the mom takes care of the pet when the child goes up north to visit her aunt and uncle for a few weeks in the summer?" She said "Ya". "Well, honey that iguana would die" I said. Her eyebrows raised up and she said "You would kill it". "No, I would'nt be able to feed or water it!"I replied. When she went off to collage I made her a quilt that used lizard fabric in the trip around the world pattern. It looked like they were diveing under the leafy fabric and peaking out in other places. There were a few iguanas in the fabric.

Have not seen this version before, but like it a lot & looks like your daughter is delighted with it too.

This is such a fun quilt! The colors are just perfect and the pattern itself is so playful! Great job!
