Default sneak peak - Row by Row floppy

This will end up 9' across by 42" long. It's made to fit a specific area in my "Machine Shed".

I'd been collecting kits and last week a friend picked me up five more on the west end of the state, so I got started Wednesday - and I was having so much fun with them, I kept at it.

It will be going on the long arm and hopefully finished in a few more days, provided my paying job does not get in the way!

This is the right end. This will go around a corner when hung, with the rows on the side wall and the plates and the rest on the main wall.

BTW - the "scrappy" background the plates are on is made from all the scrap fabric from making all the blocks. Added quite a bit of time to the project, but it's always nice to use up scraps.

And the rest -

I made some changes to a few of the rows -

I wanted fireworks over the Corn Palace - so used a different background fabric and added some sparkly stitching.

And I really did not like the appliqued fish with the spear in it that the pattern had - but it is the city of Spearfish. I found a picture of the city seal, and used that instead. This is shadow trapantu - I really like doing that!

And I made the sun and flag "3-D" for this block, since it already had a lot of trimmings.

I think I'm going to use a pale blue thread for the quilting. I need to rest and get enough ambition to mount it on the long arm.

Nice looking!!!! My hubby went to Sturgis on Tuesday...I told him to pick up either the JCT STRIPR or the SEW' AMAZIN' plate, but the Mitchell store was closed ....still holding out for the Sturgis plate. I'd rather have the Mitchell stores though

Great quilt! Our local QS has a great row. I have seen some really cute ones in my travels but my list to do is to log to start anything else.

I've collected quite a few patterns and some license plates but haven't put any of them together yet. What you've done looks great.
