Absolutely gorgeous quilting. I can't wait to see the whole quilt. Lots of men just seem to take to quilting like a duck to water. Kevin is one of them.

The story behind the quilt is a tear-jerker (to me anyway). Quilt blocks originally cut by a mother for her daughter, after making quilts for other children. Mother passes away with quilt not finished. Husband remarries, and stepmother (a quilter) finds out these blocks were intended for stepdaughter. Stepdaughter is now graduating from college, and stepmother secretly has pieced the quilt blocks to finish the quilt. Wish I could see stepdaughter's face when she receives the quilt.
