    A Snowball Variation.

Last couple of days have been working on an idea I had for snowball variation. Made with 2 1/2 in. strips and white background. Think I'm calling it Strings of Beads cause that is what it looks like to me. It's either going to be a lap quilt or wallhanging. Am open to quilting ideas. I'm thinking big stitch outlining the vertical white areas in different colors and then maybe something fancy in the colored areas. Thanks for looking. Have a great day.

Very cute, it reminds me of the "pop beads" my children and their cousins used to play with at my in-laws

Cute idea. I like the multi shading in the beads and they do look like the pop beads of yesteryear.

I think you chose a good name for this. It reminds me of the pop beads we had back in the 50s, that you snapped together to make necklaces or bracelets with.

Oh, I like it a lot. A great lot. What a joyful quilt!

Thought. I am a texture and depth freak. Poofiness. How about emphasizing the "beads" by not quilting them unless absolutely necessary (can't tell how big they really are and, therefore, if they will require quilting to keep everything properly together)? The white fabric can be closely quilted to emphasize the loft of the beads.

What a really cute design! When I quilted my scrappy crayons I did mostly straight stitch, so will enjoy seeing what pattern you quilt into your rows of beads.

What a cute and bright quilt you made that does look like beads we played with as children.
