I so love this...not what I was expecting when I seen the title...I expected applique. If there are quilt police that would make any negative comments...they need to be fired. I had not noticed the difference in sashings till you pointed it out. If I had, I would have thought it was for artistic reasons.

I thought those were intentional coping strips. I kept looking for the ones that were cut wrong. Looks great to me.

It doesn't look like an error to me. It looks planned. Who made the rule that every border/ sashing had to be the same width? If there is such a rule, I've broken it many times because I wanted to make a quilt longer than it was wide. Your quilt is lovely and I know you will be happy to have it hanging on your wall! However, if fear of the quilt police was the real reason for deciding not to donate it, my advice is: "GET OVER IT!" froggyintexas

And what's more, borders are an area where size differences can be made up. If you need to add to the width, do so. If you need to reduce top and bottom borders do so.

Still think the candy care borders are ultra-fantastic-------------and the selling point of the wall hanging.

I love it and would have kept it even if it didn't have an un-noticeable boo-boo! Good job!
