Thread: Soldier Quilt made from donated blocks

    This is one of the quilts being made for the soldiers deployed with my daughter to Afghanistan made with blocks donated from members of this board. With me is the 8 year old Australian quilter who put these blocks together. He is flying back to Australia today so we had to get a picture before the borders were put on.

    The quilt is beautiful. Did you this young is an 8 yr older. Wow! How amazing. You both did a good job.

    He made a rag quilt, then he pieced and quilted a lap quilt for himself (he gave the rag quilt as a gift), then put those blocks together for the soldier quilt. He really loves quilting!
