The center portion of this soldier quilt was made by my eight year old grandson who lives in Charlotte. I took it home to Virginia, did a little machine embroidery, added a few hexagons, and
tried free motion quilting for the very first time. Lots of "learning" errors in this quilt, but it is certainly patriotic and made with love for whoever receives it at Walter Reed or Bethesda Naval Hospital.

This is a quilt of great spirit. God bless you for the success and generousity you put into it. :-)

So very cool. I hope there's a way to let the recipient soldier know that a young man had a hand in making his quilt. Makes it that much more special, I think :)
