Thanks for the tip. Everyone can try this by clicking on it @ http://www.selvageblog.blogspot.com. I think you typed blot instead of blog! I checked it out. They have a lot of the same pics I have. I may have gotten some from there but sure don't remember the names. Seems like many bloggers do the same selvage tricks! They look like they are really into selvages and call it for "extreme scrap quilting." That sure qualifies me. How about you? Are you an extreme scrap quilter?

It's amazing the waste in our country. These little things could be made up and sold to help the needy. Am planning on doing that too! I'm a recycler for life and sad at the waste I see around me in our earth. Please everyone donate your selvages to those who would like to make something out of them. It is amazing what ideas people come up with from others' trash!

I've been saving selvedges to make into pincushions for all my helpers at our next quilt show. I'm the take down chairperson. I think it's a great way to say thanks and to use fabric that would normally go into the dump

Good for you, angelwatcher!!! Love your name, BTW! It IS a great way to say thanks without being time-consuming to make and most people haven't learned this yet but "it's the little things in life that bring the most joy!" Kudos to you!!

I just bought a yard of fabric from a small shop in AZ and when I got back to the house and looked, realized that the salvage had been cut off - is this something that any of you have had happen? Sure seemed strange
