Thank you all for your kind comments on my blocks! My mother-in-law says I'm a natural, but I don't beleive her! I'll post more pics to this thread! I made another block last night and I'll post it when I finish the one I'm on now! Hoping to get a couple more done this weekend while Hubby works in the yard!

Again, thank you, you all are so sweet and kind!

You are doing a great job..I would never know you were new at it. I am fairly new too. I've made 1 quilt and working on my second. Woops, I take that back. I've made 3. My first one was a Memory Quilt.

Every time you do a block, you will become faster. My dad used to talk about clearing land ... he always tried to clear one square foot of land a day after he finished his off ranch job.
He told me he figured if he just did a square foot a day, his land was one more square foot cleared than it was the day before. (Then, he said ... sometimes, I got a bit more done <g>)
ANyway, it is like eating an elephant ... one bite at a time.
You just pay attention to the next seam, and before you know it, you are done!
My favorite block is the coral and black block ... that print you chose really made a different feel to the block ... at least to me ... you are doing fine.

You're doing a beautiful job, and Harmony's advice is spot on!!.. you aren't doing this because you need more "chores".. you're doing it for fun and a sense of accomplishment.. so take a deep breath, relax and enjoy!!!
