Unbelievable! You must have the patience of a Saint! I could only dream of doing something like that. How long did it take?

You should give it a go-for one thing, it makes the project in many cases, more portable. I can sit in the living room with the family, in front of the TV, with the quilt on my lap, my Ott light over my shoulder, and happily quilt away and not feel isolated in my quilting room! A small project can go anywhere with you (Dr office, waiting to pick kids up, just anywhere) plus the satisfaction of doing a truly hand-made piece is great. I just find the hand quilting and hand applique very relaxing and theraputic for me. However, I really want to learn to machine quilt, as well-I love trying all styles and methods of this craft!

Thanks-the first one was the hardest and took me the longest to complete-I did machine applique it, but hand quilted it. It came from a book from Leisure Arts called "Beloved Land, Beloved Quilts" and is called "Centennial Medallion Quilt". There really isn't any other color combination you can use except red, white and blue! I think I am most proud of this one! Although I gave away most of my quilts as gifts and sold a few, I kept this one!
