    It seems that I got a lot better at cutting when I put little plastic feet on the bottom of my ruler. I got the little plastic dots that go on the bottom of containers to set on tables, etc. I know how that is with ruler slippage. I have had to re-cut quite a few blocks and strips because of it.

    If your rulers are slipping on you, use the plastic dots or buy O'Lipfa rulers with the edge that hugs your cutting board. These just don't slip and are my favourite.
