Default Son's Girlfriend gift

I was stuck for ideas for a gift for my son's girlfriend. It's pretty clear this is serious so I wanted something nice. Our Guild held a 'garage sale' at the last meeting and I found a little kit, complete, for a generous sized throw. She's not a 'girly girl' which suites my son ( and me ) just fine. Putting aside the fact her mother is also a quilter, (we have yet to meet ) I made it anyways.
Trying something different, I used a light polar fleece as batting/backing. Quilted like butter.

Oh that is sure to be a big hit with her. It's so pretty & I love the colors. You can't go wrong with the light polar fleece for perfect cuddling.

Love those fabrics - they remind me of the "Alias Grace" miniseries.

It would be a funny coincidence if your son's girlfriend's mum were also lurking on this forum, perhaps seeing this quilt, and if she then saw it on her daughter's bed

I am sure she will love it. She will appreciate the time and love that has gone into it. Your color selection and the fleece back are beautiful. Nice quilt
