    Winner at the fair or not, you won just attempting it. I don't know if I could be that strong and complete one. It is very stunning.

    Beautiful applique in unusual (to me) colors. I'm looking forward to seeing it with the ribbon it will win!

    Thank you everyone for all the compliments! Just to answer a few of the questions people have asked ~ the pattern is from FatCat Quilts and that was the name of the pattern . . . I didn't name it, but it's certainly appropriate. It is all needle turned applique and I've been appliqueing for about 2 1/2 years. I chose the colors to be a bit more mellow ~ black, brown & gold on a off white background. The sashing (which you really can't see in the picture) is a print that has those three colors in it and really is pretty. Again thanks!
