Quote: Before I went in for surgery, I made sure I had some projects already cut out. As soon as I was able, I sat and sewed for a couple of hours each day. The table runner is finished, the charity quilt is ready to quilt, but I am having trouble with skipped stitches and have to remove the quilting and try again. The lap quilt is a gift for my MIL for Christmas and ready to sandwich and quilt. I'm not up yet to crawling on the floor to sandwich it, though! Thanks for looking!
Linda
No need to get on you knees to sandwich the quilt for your MIL, just google "basting quilts with the board method". It is an excellent tute using boards to layer your quilt and bind it securely. I will never get down on the floor again to baste my quilts. This works up to king size if you have a table top large enough. I will use tables at our local community center or church to do the big ones.
