I like the red as the center and I look forward to seeing all the block together. I know it's going to be very pretty.

Love your version! I have gobs of scraps that I would like to transform into a spiderweb pattern. I too discovered Bonnie Hunter's tutorial and have it at the ready to start. I hope you'll post your finished quilt.
