Are you caught up on your Checkered Board BOM? I am three months behind. Several other things got in the way. Can't wait to get to them.

We've been traveling for the last three months, and our mail has been held. I suspect I have some blocks waiting for me. I won't get the mail from my son until tonight. I'm caught up with what I have, but I'm behind with the ones I don't have. Capece?

That's the difference between the "quilter" and "LAQ"..two different arts/artists competing for attention. The LAQ wanted her quilting to show so she used a darker thread (than you would have used) and did her quilting all over your beautiful blocks (which you may not have done). That's one good reason to quilt it yourself.

Thanks for your comment. I told her to use the variegated thread. I like it, but this was darker than I expected it to be. Ordinarily, she does exactly what I want without much instruction. I'll get used to it.
