If you have any leftover red fabric, you could conduct a bleed test with it and then you'll know whether you have a problem

This is such a great idea! If it were my quilt, I would definitely give it a try. Better to know how to deal with a possible bleed on a scrap piece of fabric than on a finished quilt.

Guess I need to get some Synthapol ?, I have color catchers, but I'm in no hurry to wash it, will just let it hang out on bed for a while.
This quilt is different from any I have ever seen and I love it. I hope it is for yourself.
