Stár Coasters?

Someone posted a link to a star Christmas ornament. I thought if I made it a little bigger, they would be cute as a set of Cristmas Coasters. I tried drawing a pentagon but gave up and looked up how to fold an origami pentagon. Success! My coaster ends up being about 6 inches across with the center having no stitching on it so a cup will sit nicely. Here is a picture of my first one. Tip- I will do the others out of non directional fabric.

That's very nice. Where did you get your info on how to fold the pentagon shape? I know, I should probably just Google it...haha

The instruction I found for folding an origami pentagon were with a 6 inch piece of yellow paper. I used a 8 inch square of paper so it would finish at about 6 inches after folding the edges in. The original size from the flat bottom to the peak is about 10 inches.

Just thought I would share that you can Google pentagon templates & you will find several template patterns you can print from your computer. Might be easier than the origami method. Just an idea.
