Why wouldn't it "pass muster" its one of the prettiest I've seen.
If you look at the original post with this saying, she stated she didn't know what muster was but it clearly passed and she thought it was gorgeous. I don't think she realized that "passing muster" meant it was barely passable. She meant it as a compliment. I feel bad for her that everyone keeps saying something about it definitely passing muster when she obviously didn't mean it in a bad way so I'm sticking up for her. :wink:

Some of these old sayings can be a bit confusing for those who are not used to them. Who is Muster and why did he barely pass? :?:

Could you tell us the name of the pattern.

Yes, it's on the cover of their Love of Quilting, Easy Quilts, winter 2008, and is called Cosmos.

I think you went way past muster....lol. That is just stunning. You did a wonderful job and I love how you used the embroidery quilting designs too.
