    storm at sea's are really beginner friendly...very easy components, they just look complicated when they are all together. anyone at any skill level could complete one. the piecing is very basic, no inset seams, 3 blocks make up one storm block, a 3" block a 3" x 6" block and a 6" block...thats it.
    the book is a good one, and the template/ruler set is great! i am so glad i went ahead and purchased them. the book does have templates in it though if you don't want to buy the ruler set

    Thankyou for mentioning that. I am a begginer and thought my Dad would love something like that Block, however not sure If I could tackle that. He and his wife have decorated their house in a sea\ocean colors. Then again after attempting just a simple patch and not liking the out come of that let my son choice a block (gentleman's fancy). Beautiful work by the way.
