This is a Christmas gift for my son's sweetheart of a girlfriend. She's an animal lover, but cats and dogs really seem to make her heart sing. (I'm working on that--she had her first horse lesson today. :wink: )

Here's the pattern--thanks to whoever posted it long ago (maybe Ruth??). I need to make 4 more squares, but wanted to see how it looked before choosing colors. Pictures always help.

I'm thinkiing to stick to the blue and paw prints...so it adds more subtle colors. It seems a bit busy.

These are not my colors. :shock: :wink: :lol: :D

I have a nice batik for the sky, although I like the one in the pattern better. :roll:

I decided on solid black with the water looking fabric for the last four squares--but when I cut it I can see the solid black is such a low quality--I don't want to use it. It's just--yucky. I think I got it at Wal-Mart. I'll grab more tomorrow... hopefully. Then it has to be washed.... darn!
