    Beautiful, colorful, fun quilt! Is it a paper pieced pattern? Is the official name Oriental Star? I would love to find it. I have a lot of batiks that would look good made up like this.

    Edited to add: Thanks to Google, I found that the name is Star of the Orient and that it is a Judy Martin design. She does some of the most unique patterns.

    It was the first time is did partial seams. I think I bought the book/pattern used on line somewhere. I saw the pattern on a pillow and had a vision of how I would make it. This is one of the times my vision matched reality.
