    Thanks, everyone, for the compliments! I made it using the Easy Angle, although I don't see why Thangles couldn't be used. The pattern, in case you'd like to know, is called Evening Star by Debbie Maddy. She had it finish at 80x80, I believe. I just resized the blocks so that the star points touch the edges of our bed.

    Her squares finished to 4 1/2", mine finished to 5", then I just adjusted my borders to the widths I wanted.

    No, it isn't. The directions had you cut 4 7/8" squares, then made into the HST's. I really like your avatar!
