Thank you everyone. It's taking forever piecing the 4" blocks together. Besides spring cleaning in & out. But that's another topic, isn't it?

The first border can't be one of the colors cause the other half of the flower is in that border. When it's finally put together I'll take another pic.

OMG, what a beautiful quilt. My old quilting instructor (and friend) told me a dark, strong "focus" border makes the blocks stand out best. What would you think of the red?

I think I'd either go with a narrow dark green or depending on what it is..the print color in the white fabric. then you can add either bricks or flying geese or whatever after that.

If I was doing this quilt, I would fill in the sides, to make a complete star in the border, and use your background material, with the border stars.. And then put 4-6" of the background material, around the quilt it self, if you have enough of the background material, or something close to your backgrnd material.. Don-isewman1
