Thread: a star without a name

    i made this for a girlfriend. it is from a CAROL DOAK paper piecing book but had no name. i know there are a jillion star patterns out there but i haven't found this one. any ideas???

    I looked through a couple of books I have. The lightest pink looks a little like a block called "waste not", but I couldn't find anything that had all the elements in it. It may be an original block by her. It sure worked up, with your help, into a beautiful quilt. I'm sure your friend will love it.

    Beautiful Quilt! I really like the pinks, white and yellows you chose and the dark was the perfect touch :D Wonderful Job :D :D :D
    What about if you name your quilt your friends name + star?

    Beautiful quilt! I love your color scheme. Sorry, I don't know the block either. Just call it gorgeous!

    thanks for all the kind words. always feels good to share my work with you all. so much talent here i am far behind most of you but i'm getting so many good ideas that my quilting is getting better just from being part of this group. thank you all.

    thank you very much. i wondered if carol doak had created it. the title of the book sounds like the blocks are vintage. did it come from the 1920's?
