Ok - I have this book and I attempted this pattern this last week - Ugh... I am having such a hard time with the diamonds- I made the large diamond blocks and added the x and y borders then when I sew the 4 pieces together - it gets poufy in the middle where the diamonds line up - is there a secret? I have one of the star blocks done and started another one and its not as poufy - but I find this to be very frustrating - help!!!

I have that one in the works now! But I am going to be adding more stars for mine. I want mine to fit on our king!

    Yours is great looking!

Yes, I did 1/4 inch seams but lining up the diamonds takes me forever - I have to fit every one of them - I carefully cut them and checked the angle almost every cut. I think this pattern is not my forte.
